Our aim is to provide our customers with exceptional service, value and quality. Dave Ogden who still has hands-on involvement in the business formed Springwell 50 years ago.

With humble beginnings supplying engineering companies with small-spring orders, only two years later Springwell secured contracts with General Motors, Ford and first tier suppliers. With these first contracts we established our reputation as a consistent, high quality, cost effective supplier and have the long-term relationships to prove it.

Our Story

Today we have over 35 full-time employees working out of our Port Elizabeth premises and have further plans to purchase additional machinery to widen the product and service offering.

We listen to you to deliver the product you need. From wire starting at 0.3mm we can bend, twist and turn wire and make your compression, tension or torsion spring making your product work and meet quality standards.

The Highest Standards

Springwell is proud to have achieved their ISO certification in 2003 and in 2007 implemented TS16949 and continue to run the same systems but reverted to only being ISO 9001-2015 due to customers not needing that certification anymore.

In 1995 Springwell was asked to become an agent for an axle manufacturer, today we are the largest stockist of small to medium size trailer components in the Eastern Cape. With a wide range of components to choose from in stock, our knowledgeable staff can assist you to find the right parts for your trailer application at affordable prices.
